Herrsching, November 2018 – Disposable laryngoscopes are popular in many hospitals because they require no processing whatsoever. However, they generate lots of waste. In contrast, multiple-use systems have to be reprocessed after every use. But they score top marks due to the systems – consisting of a handle and a blade – having a high level of mechanical stability.
