Precisely adjusting the HEINE ML4 LED HeadLight with binocular loupes
Precision and attention to detail are absolutely essential in modern dentistry and surgery. That’s why binocular loupes with integrated headlights are such essential working tools in these fields.
Flexibly adjusting the loupes’ angle of view – relieving the strain on the cervical spine
In any situation where loupes are used, particularly during lengthy surgical procedures or treatments, the neck should be relieved of strain as much as possible, since poor, non-ergonomic posture can place excessive stress this area. To counteract excessive strain, HEINE loupes allow flexible adjustment of the loupes’ angle of view.
Individual adjustment – why it’s worth the effort
Binocular loupes can provide dentists and surgeons with effective support, but only when they’re perfectly adjusted and adapted to the anatomical requirements of the person using them. What’s more, the interaction between loupes and the light source is crucially important to ensure that the field of view is properly illuminated too.
Both the ML4 HeadLight and the loupes can be adjusted independently to suit the examiner, ensuring an optimum field of view. In this video, we’ll show you the relevant adjustments you need to make one step at a time.
When adjusting the HEINE ML4 HeadLight with loupes, it doesn’t matter whether the examiner wears prescription glasses, contact lenses, or no glasses at all. There are suitable adjustment options for all scenarios.
Readjustment is naturally also possible at any time if the application situation changes – for example, when switching between seated and standing work.
Adjustment options for the loupes, light and headband
1. Main fixing screw of the loupe and light unit
2. Loupes’ locking screws (right and left on the support rail)
3. Adjustment slider for the size of the light spot
4. Light control knob with dimming function. This headband controller can be mounted on either the left or the right side of the headband, depending on preference.
5. Rotary knobs for adjusting the headband
